Tools of Ignorance Lisa's Story is a great story about how a small group of young women handle their friendships, family, love lives, and being gay in today's society. The story flows nicely and the characters play well off each other enriching the plot. A story of which many young lesbians will identify... and some older ones. I wish there were books like this when I was in high school. Looking forward to the next one!
In this wonderful, warmhearted YA story which centers around softball Barbara shows Lisa's coming out in a sequel to Marlee's story. Again Barbara weaves into this coming out tale wonderful sport scenes and shows in how many different ways people can discriminate ... and cute kids, Lisa's siblings, are around. I love that one of the presents given is the dragonrider series by the late Ann McCaffrey.
This is my favorite book in the series. This book is an easy read and you won't wan to put it down
